Sinai Megibow, Esq.
Sinai Megibow is the founder of Venture Risk Investigations, a specialized legal consulting firm. As Investigative Counsel, Sinai is responsible for leading, conducting, and managing investigations and due diligence consulting matters. Sinai’s work includes collecting evidence in support of litigation, conducting business intelligence and due diligence, locating assets, and conducting background investigations on behalf of law firms, corporations, financial institutions, associations, and individuals. His cases have addressed issues such as public corruption, fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, witness tampering and intimidation, matrimonial and custodial disputes, insurance claims, forensic accounting issues, and criminal matters.
Prior to founding Venture Risk Investigations, Sinai served as Vice President of Investigations at another corporate investigative firm. Sinai came to that company from the law firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York City, where he was an associate. Sinai’s practice focused on conducting internal investigations, representing clients facing government investigations and regulatory matters, and commercial litigation. Some of his representative cases included investigating a variety of accounting improprieties at a Fortune 100 company, and, on behalf of its Audit Committee, recommending remedies to correct those improprieties; working with clients facing investigation by both the Department of Justice and the SEC to gather and analyze evidence, address liability issues, and develop defensive strategies; and negotiating favorable resolution of several commercial disputes.
Sinai holds a JD from the UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif; an MA in humanities from the University of Chicago; and, a BA, magna cum laude, in Classical Studies from Tulane University. He is licensed to practice law in New York State.
Sinai is a Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the Society of Professional Investigators, and the Nassau County Bar Association.. He has also received extensive training in the Reid Technique of interviewing and interrogating suspects and witnesses, bail enforcement/fugitive recovery operations, and executive protection.

Nancy B. Schess, Esq.
Ms. Schess is an attorney and partner in the law firm of Klein Zelman Rothermel LLP. Klein Zelman is a full-service law firm concentrating in all aspects of Labor and Employment Law and Marketing, Promotions and Communications Law. Nancy has been practicing for more than 25 years and represents businesses, both locally and nationally, in diverse industries including banking/finance, professional services, technology, building services, hospitality, entertainment, retail, manufacturing, and transportation.
Nancy’s practice is focused on all facets of labor and employment law, including equal employment compliance and litigation, wage and hour compliance, audit strategies and litigation, FMLA and employee leaves and plant closing compliance. Additionally, Nancy counsels clients in enforceable means to protect their confidential and proprietary business assets. She also practices occupational safety and health law.
Working closely with clients, Nancy develops and implements preventative personnel policies and strategies to foster a litigation-free workplace. She also provides advice and counsel to help her clients successfully manage their personnel assets.
Her experience also includes developing and presenting customized training programs and presentations on various compliance topics including, Wage and Hour Compliance, Prevention of Workplace Harassment, How to Conduct a Defensible Internal Investigation, Tips on Effective Performance Management, and The Pros and Cons of Social Media in the Workplace. While litigating labor and employment cases, Nancy has represented the firm’s clients before federal, state and local courts and administrative agencies, including human rights agencies and various Departments of Labor.
A sought after speaker, Nancy has appeared on television and radio and as a frequent speaker for professional associations and other groups. Nancy is often quoted in the media on a wide range of employment related topics.
Nancy is the co-founder of Gotham City Networking, Inc. (www.gothamnetworking.com), where she chairs the Women's Division. She is Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of Gotham City Networking Foundation.
Nancy was named a NY Super Lawyer for 2011.
