Jeffrey M. Schwartz, Esq.
Jeffrey M. Schwartz is a founding partner and the managing partner of the Firm. Having practiced since 1986 in the real estate area, Mr. Schwartz has extensive experience in transactional work. His real estate practice includes the leasing, financing, acquisition and sale of commercial property, as well as the operation, development, conversion and sale of residential properties. He is also counsel to a significant number of cooperative and condominium buildings throughout the metropolitan area.
Mr. Schwartz has chaired the New York County Lawyer’s Association’s symposium on Commercial Leasing and presents annually on Purchase and Sale of Real Estate in New York. He is a member of the Tulane Law School Intersession Faculty where he teaches annually. He is also a guest lecturer at the New York University School of Real Estate. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Cooperatives and Condominiums and has served several terms on the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Cooperatives and Condominiums. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1987.
Mr. Schwartz is also a current member of the Board of Directors of the The Catlog for Giving of New York City.
Mr. Schwartz graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton and cum laude from Tulane Law School.
Jennifer Barash, Esq,
Jennifer Barash is an associate in the firm’s real estate department. Her practice area focuses on representing developers, purchasers, sellers and investors in a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including the sale, acquisition, financing and development of commercial, residential and mixed-use properties.
Jennifer has represented both lenders and borrows in the acquisition and financing of commercial, multi-family and hotel properties.
Jennifer received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2009 and received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2004.
Jared Freed, Senior VP of CBRE
Jared Freede is a Senior Vice President in the CBRE New York office. Over the last fourteen years, Jared and his team have led a broad range of office leasing transactions on behalf of large multi-market corporations in the New York City area and nationally. Jared and his partner, Eric G. Deutsch, have negotiated leases in excess of 8 million square feet, which includes providing their clients with strategic planning, market research and financial analysis which plays an integral part in the implementation of real estate plans. Jared is one of CBRE’s Manhattan market experts with a keen understanding of recent market deals, hidden space opportunities and future space vacancies. Often times, other professionals within the organization will engage Jared to assist in the implementation of complex transactions.
Jared has developed an expertise in representing retailers for their showroom and corporate office facilities as well as many of New York’s leading technology and media organizations. Jared has been Convene’s exclusive real estate advisor since 2012 and has helped the company scale to more than 1.4M square feet of leased locations. Early in his career, Jared was nominated by the Real Estate Board of New York for its most promising commercial real estate broker award and was ranked among New York’s 30 Under 30 Real Estate Professionals. Jared lives in Scarsdale, NY with his wife Jessica and their three children.
