Andy R. Schwartz, Esq.
Andrew R. Schwartz is the managing member of Schwartz & Kanyock, LLC in Chicago. A collections and business litigator since 1988, Mr. Schwartz focuses a significant portion of his practice on post-judgment remedies, including complex collection and fraudulent transfer litigation.
Mr. Schwartz recently acted as lead collections counsel of a $363 million judgment against three companies for ethylene oxide poisoning and was the principal drafter of a related lawsuit to set aside over $1.3 billion in fraudulent transfers by two of those companies.
He is the author of Litigating the Suit to Set Aside a Fraudulent Transfer, which currently appears in the IICLE Chancery and Special Remedies treatise. He also has multiple publications in the Illinois Bar Journal, including articles on collections, fraudulent transfer litigation, business litigation and the recovery of costs in civil cases.
Mr. Schwartz holds a B.A. in English literature from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago Law School. He lives in Deerfield, Illinois.
