Stepping Up: Representing Parents with Minor Children
This CLE course is designed to introduce practical considerations for an increase in advocacy amongst parents facing incarceration or parents who are incarcerated in criminal or dependency cases. The course will include a short video recording and polls to encourage participation and reflection on the issue with the primary focus being meaningful engagement of parents with their parents in their defense as well as in court. This CLE course will offer practical advice in handling traffic issues in local criminal courts. The course will address the most commonly charged offenses and is particularly helpful to attorneys who do not typically appear in traffic court but nevertheless would like to be able to provide competent representation or guidance.
