Eric J. Kuperman, Esq.
After Eric J. Kuperman graduated from law school in 1997, he began his litigation career and practiced for the better part of a decade before seguing into a career as a litigation support consultant to lawyers and law firms across the nation. Since 2006, he has focused primarily on assisting attorneys with their appellate needs and is now Vice President of Appellate Services at PrintingHouse Press, the leading Appellate Services Provider in New York City. Eric specializes in appeals in all New York State courts ranging from the Appellate Divisions up through the New York State Court of Appeals, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. In addition, he has handled appeals in New Jersey as well as many Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal across the Country.
During college, Mr. Kuperman clerked in the New York State Court system for the Law Department. Thereafter, while in law school, he held two internships, one with the Attorney General and the other with New York State Supreme Court Justice Beatrice Shainswit. In further preparation for his forthcoming litigation career, he participated in an Intensive Trial Advocacy Program during his third year in law school. Following graduation, he worked mostly as a civil defense litigator, representing major insurance carriers, both domestically and internationally. An ever-growing part of his practice, Mr. Kuperman became intrigued with appellate practice and ultimately drafted briefs and argued before the Appellate Division First Department.
Mr. Kuperman is proud to have hundreds of clients who look to him for guidance when preparing their cases for appeal. His knowledge of appellate practice and procedure, fastidious attention to detail and availability at all hours, have endeared him to his loyal clients. Moreover, he has taught CLE classes on the Appellate Process in the Appellate Division.
Mr. Kuperman is a graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Politics and a minor in Economics. He received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1997. He was a writer for, and an Editor of, the Cardozo Women’s Law Journal. He is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Eric lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children. He is a weekend warrior athlete, coach, creative writer, amateur singer/musician and tutor.
Maria Andrades
Accomplished Senior Appellate Consultant, Maria Andrades, who has over 23 years of experience in the appellate printing and litigation industry, provides expertise in the New York State appellate courts, the Supreme Court of the United States, the New Jersey courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and other federal appellate courts nationwide.
Maria launched her career at St. Louis West, Inc., provider of appellate printing services, in 1989 as an Operations Manager and quickly was promoted to Vice President of Sales. She was accountable for the sales team delivering exceptional service to all St. Louis West customers throughout the country.
Her clients learned very quickly that they could lean on her for assistance, for the latest information and exceptional customer support when they were in a bind. Her deep knowledge in all facets of appellate practice and procedure, including strategic motion practice, and complex appellate litigation, allowed her to create long-established business relations with numerous law firms, including many of the largest in the nation. Maria prides herself in providing top-quality customer service for all her clients.
In 2010, Maria joined PrintingHouse Press and brought her loyal cliental along. She has continued to serve them like no other in the context of working for the number one appellate printer on the East Coast. Her clients continue to praise her as ever reliable, knowledgeable, available and trustworthy with respect to their appeals. It is for those very reasons that they followed her in the first place.
Maria is proud to call New Jersey her home, where she lives with her husband and two children. She is an avid reader, a connoisseur of Cuban cuisine and enjoys quiet time with her family when she is not steadfastly serving her clients’ appellate needs.
Paul LaMar
After Paul LaMar graduated from Hofstra University in 1984, he began his career as an Investigator at Fidelifacts where he was responsible for conducting background checks on potential employees looking to work in the financial services sector in the Wall Street community. Most of the background checks were for employment screenings, however investigations also involved franchisee ownership, potential sweepstake winners, asset searches, liens and subpoena services, to name a few.
After reaching the top of his profession as an Investigator, Mr. LaMar decided to enter the appellate services industry as a Consultant due to the prodding of a close friend who figured he would be successful at the new challenge. His first job in the appellate printing arena, was at Record Press where he worked as an Appellate Consultant for 4 years, from 1998-2002. In 2002 PrintingHouse Press was looking to expand their operations and invited Mr. LaMar to join their organization which he did. Over the 10 + years at PrintingHouse Press he has now reached the position of Executive Vice President of Appellate Services.
Mr. LaMar is a graduate of Hofstra University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Political Science. He also received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Nassau Community College which was one of the reasons he chose to become an Investigator right out of college. During his time at Fidelifacts, he also successfully passed tests for the Nassau and Suffolk County Police Departments and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Mr. LaMar is proud to have assisted hundreds of clients over the years who seek guidance when they are preparing their appeal in the state and federal courts. His knowledge of the appellate courts and the various local rules has assisted numerous attorneys and law firms to successfully perfect their appeals.
