About This Course
While an attorney might be licensed in a particular state, there are still instances where practice in another state is necessary. Whether traveling to another state for a contract negotiation or to represent a client brought up on charges elsewhere, lawyers often travel across state lines to travel, even if states where they are not licensed. This is particular true of immigration attorneys. This CLE course will present the basics of Multi-Jurisdictional Practice (MJP) and ABA Model Rule 5.5 and its relationship to Rule 8.5 which governs this practice.
