Jacob Davis, Esq.
Jacob Davis is a Partner and Co-Managing Attorney of Nalls Davis, located in Dayton,
Ohio. Jacob’s practice primarily focuses on commercial litigation, employment and labor law,
and real estate and fair housing law. Jacob chairs the firm’s litigation and fair housing practice
groups.
Jacob represents a variety of clients in litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters.
Additionally, Jacob is a leading attorney in the region for matters arising under the Fair Housing
Act. Jacob has provided guidance and training to businesses, employees, employers, housing
providers, investors, property management companies, and tenants regarding Title VII and Title
VIII of the Civil Rights Act, and he has conducted over 150 formal and informal investigations
into alleged wrongdoing. Jacob is a trusted voice in the community and has worked closely with
local leaders and government officials on important public policies in the region, including housing
policy and strengthening protections for the underserved. He is regularly invited to moderate and
participate in fair housing panels and presentations.
Previously, Jacob led the civil rights division for a government organization where he
directed civil rights enforcement efforts and developed regulations and policy guidance on
emerging civil rights issues and trends. Additionally, he has worked at a large multinational law
firm and clerked with a Fortune 500 insurance company. Prior to law school, Jacob worked in
the consumer finance and insurance industries.
Jacob graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Political
Science and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law.
