David McKelvey, Esq.
Mr. McKelvey has tried approximately 50 jury trials to verdict in his first decade with
Crandall & Katt. Prior to joining Crandall & Katt, Mr. McKelvey attended Liberty
University School of Law, where he was part of their inaugural class, received the
Commercial Law Award, and most importantly met his wife Jackie. Prior to going to law
school, Mr. McKelvey attended James Madison University and Central Virginia
Community College where he obtained his bachelor's degree in 2.5 years.
Mr. McKelvey decided to become a lawyer in the 10th grade at Liberty High School, after
taking a class called Practical Law, and has never looked back.
Outside of work,
Mr. McKelvey lives locally with his wife and his two elementary school
aged boys who are active in about every kind of sport. Mr. McKelvey enjoys coaching
his children's teams, and also founded and coaches the Roanoke Ambassadors, a local
nonprofit club varsity football team. Mr. McKelvey is also active with the Rescue
Mission Legal Clinic, his church and several religious ministries, and is usually active on
one Bar committee or another.
While every case is different, Mr. McKelvey's goal for all of his clients is to ensure that
they are treated fairly...which is the way all of us deserve to be treated.
