About This Course
This interactive CLE course will address various ethical issues that may be faced by matrimonial and family court practitioners in their interactions with clients, other attorneys and within their own firm. Employing a mock format, the course will use the New York Rules of Professional Conduct as its foundation to present real-life examples and solutions alongside potential outcomes and methods of addressing how to best navigate these issues.
Designed to provide you with the skills to evaluate and deal with ethical issues that may arise in your own practice, and illustrate that there are often many avenues to the successful handling of issues, both ethically and professionally. The New York Rules of Professional Conduct will be reviewed in conjunction with case law that covers various issues presented.
Course Objectives:

- To explore resources available to identify and resolve ethical issues.
- To present avenues that attorneys may use in dealing with attorneys, clients and the Court to resolve ethical considerations.
